Last year, Drew Barrymore shared about her willingness to do "everything" in the bedroom. Recently, she gave fans a peek into her relatable side by showcasing her messy bedroom in a viral Instagram video challenge. In the video, which followed the "before and after" trend, an electronic voice asked users to show their rooms before and after cleaning. Drew took the challenge and shared her messy room in the Feb. 28 post. The clip revealed a cluttered desk with papers, a floor with beauty products, and a bed covered in pillows and more papers. She even showed the messy bathroom, where she bit her knuckle apologetically. The video was extremely relatable and gave fans a glimpse of the star's everyday life.
Drew captioned the video with the challenge prompt, "Show me your room before and after you clean it...," along with laughing and heart emojis. In the next segment, she showed her organized closet, clean desk, completely tidied up floor, and made-up bed. Drew even kissed her fingers in a gesture of satisfaction. Her 16.7 million fans reacted positively in the comments section, expressing relief and delight. One fan wrote, "If Queen Drew's room can look like this sometimes, then it's okay if mine does too. Thank you for your authenticity." Another fan commented, "This is a major struggle of mine, and it's good to see that even those we look up to deal with this as well." A third fan quipped, "Here's my problem...where do all the piles go???"
It's understandable for the busy actress to have an occasionally messy room. In addition to running her daily talk show, Drew is a mom to daughters Olive, 10, and Frankie, 8, whom she shares with ex-husband Will Kopelman. In a September 2022 interview, she opened up about the challenges of being a single mom. Drew admitted to only dating men without children, explaining that she wants a clean life and doesn't want to engage with someone who might not stick around. She even joked about living on "planet parent," indicating how all-consuming motherhood can be.
